Description
The 1941 model is considered to be Cadllac's masterpiece! A Milestone automotive design; the beauty and style of these cars was never again equaled. The Convertible Sedan (Model 6229D) was the most distinctive and also the most expensive of the 62 Series. Only 400 were made and it is the last four-door convertible ever made by General Motors! The model was popular with heads of state, captains of industry and artists. For example, U.S. President Truman and Spanish artist Salvador Dali were both owners of such a model. Equipped with its original, rebuilt 150 hp "flathead" 346 V-8 engine and desirable three-speed manual transmission. The high torque of these engines makes this a comfortable and fast touring car, especially for its time. This exemple has been professionally restored to the highest standards by Donnie Gould Restorations and is the best available worldwide! During restoration New Old Stock parts were used, right out of their original packaging. The color combination (51 paint, trim 87) of black paint and red leather upholstery has been maintained. The authenticity of this Cadillac is thereby preserved, which is important for a Concours d'Elegance. Dutch registration, the price includes 19% VAT that is reclaimable. - We can arrange transport and export documents. Please visit our website www.lasalleclassiccars.com.
