Description
The seventies saw a tremendous evolution occur in the Corvette. When introduced in 1953, it was aimed at the country club crowd. Zora Arkus-Duntov guided it into a performance image where all else was secondary. As government mandates forced their way into the industry, the Corvette changed again. This time it turned into a luxurious personal touring machine. One factor making 1970 Corvettes so desirable to many is that it was the last year of high-compression engines. Problems with the previous two model years were mostly sorted out, and production of the 1970 was the lowest since 1962. If you are a serious Corvette collector or enthusiast, this low mileage Mulsanne Blue Corvette will make an excellent addition to your stable. The car left the factory with a 350 cu. in. engine, power steering, and power brakes. EVERY number on this car matches! The interior is 100% original! No, that is not a misprint! When is the last time you saw a 41 year old interior in this condition? The original jack is in place and as far as we can tell, has reamained there since the day the car left the factory. The original "false bottom", or tray, in the jack compartment is like new. About 5 years ago "Just Vettes", and their top NCRS expert went through the car. It received it's only repaint at that time. The original transmission and rear end were completely rebuilt. A thorough inspection of the engine revealed that everything was within factory spec and a rebuild was not necessary. Every hose, clamp, wire, grommet, bushing, etc. is factory correct. Take this Vette to any national show and it will be the car that all others are judged against. The car comes complete with extensive documentation including original Protecto Plate, owners manual, and receipts for all work performed. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best 1970 Corvettes in the country!
