This rare and desirable Mercedes has been completely restored from the ground up, in its original color combination, and from top to bottom this SL looks like new. In 1955, there were less 190SL’s made than any other year, as well as being the ONLY year to have the gulwing style hard-back seats and minimal chrome trimming. This is certainly an opportunity a superb vehicle that will not be found often. From the ground up this 190SL has recently undergone a complete frame-off restoration and looks like the day it left the Mercedes showroom in 1955. It has been beautifully refinished to show quality in its original DB 534 Fire Engine Red with Black Leather interior, and Black Canvas Top, along with its correct original white Bakelite steering wheel. The new canvas top and leather tonneau cover are also in show quality condition. All of the chrome inside and out has been refinished to the highest quality truly making this 190SL like new. Without a doubt, there has been so expense spared with this Mercedes. Close inspection has been done to the vehicle to authenticate the vehicle had its original components including the engine, drivetrain and body panel stampings which do match the VIN plate on the firewall. A fuel pressure regulator has been added for better drivability, but can be easily removed to maintain 100% originality. Mechanicals have been properly serviced including brakes, suspension, carburetor, and tuning of the engine. This is truly an outstanding vehicle.
