Manufactured in England by (BMC) Fisher & Ludlow would produce the body work, while the mechanics would be provided, as well as final assembly undertaken by the Austin Motor Company. This is the first time an American designed car that would be exclusively marketed in North America had been entirely built in Europe. The 1959 Metropolitan we are offering has a black and white exterior with a black convertible top. The interior is done in original black and white checked "hounds tooth" cloth and vinyl. This California cars "frame up" restoration was completed in 2005 and has 800 miles since the restoration. The engine is a 1.5 - 4 cylinder - 1500cc producing 55HP.
