Completed in November of last year, this clean classic is the direct product of an intense build and world class artistic talent. Its build began with a body that was stripped and dipped to remove every remnant of rust and pitting which is typically left behind by traditional metalwork. Once that body was completely sanitized, an experienced builder came out of retirement to tap its panels into better than factory straight condition; and everything was loaded on a truck and sent for a thorough test fitting. With the test fitting complete, and the car once again in pieces, Tom Argue of Tom Argue Design laid down a great looking Viper Black and Viper Orange color combination, and executed a full detail which included intricate Metallic Gray and Silver divider stripes, body-matched jams, and spectacular ghosted Barracudas. Once that brilliant paint was dry, the car was shipped to final assembly and buffed to the kind of expo center shine that anchors vendor booths and graces marketing materials. Today, this awesome Barracuda is a restoration fresh trophy winner which sits as a modern and exceptionally well-done tribute to the legendary Super Stock Plymouths of the late 60s and early 70s.

Although it continued to share many components with the Valiant, the second generation Barracuda was fully redesigned with model-specific sheetmetal that provided a more upscale and aggressive appearance. At the front of the car a stainless trimmed grille, which was inspired by an inverted trapezoid, hangs deep-set vertical bars and crystal clear parking lights between bright halogen headlights, a show worthy chrome bumper and an offset "Plymouth" script. Behind that grille, the car's smooth orange hood wears a sinister Hemi scoop that's braced by satin metal supports and adorned with "605 Hemi" callouts. And at the sides of that grille, '68 Barracuda specific round marker lights combine with wide wheel well openings, new chrome door handles and a handsome metal fuel filler to add character to an awesome coke bottle profile. At the top of the car like-new glass, which includes a tinted rear window, is framed by pristine stainless trim, cleared by matte stainless wipers and flanked by a traditional chrome Chrysler driver's mirror. At the back of the car, a concave rear valence hangs fresh tail lights at the edges of a second show worthy bumper and a great looking combination of silver and stainless trim. And overall this old school Plymouth is simple, cool and could pass for an 'everyday' classic Mopar if it wasn't for some serious rolling stock and the not-so-subtle hood callouts.

Carefully raise the car's bright orange hood and you'll find 605 cubic inches of naturally aspirated Hemi power! With a nasty 11.3 to 1 compression ratio, and enough torque to drag the Chrysler building from New York to New Jersey, this solid mounted Indy block is an all-aluminum Mopar monster which is capable of producing some flat out scary trap speeds! Inside the massive Hemi hood scoop, a low profile air cleaner feeds two 600 cfm Holley 4-barrel carburetors which send a 50/50 mix of racing fuel and 94 octane pump gas into a Mopar Performance cross ram intake. At the sides of that intake, Indy Legion heads bridge the gap between slick aluminum valve covers that are fitted with silver Moroso breathers and Wiseco pistons that are connected to a Callies Magnum crankshaft. And at the front of that intake a billet points distributor, which is spun by a Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft, sends fire from an MSD coil to loomed Moroso Ultra 40 Race Wires. Lubrication for the big engine is provided by a Keith Black oil system which shuttles fluid between a front mount cooler, an Oberg Tattle Tale filter and a Charlie's eight quart aluminum pan. Cooling comes courtesy of a high flow aluminum radiator which shoots water past a giant pulley fan and a polished overflow tank to a billet thermostat housing. And exhaust duties are handled by a sweet set of custom fabricated stainless steel headers. While this engines main purpose is to go straight at a very high rate of speed, it's still very impressive to look at. The Viper orange from the exterior of the car caps a spotless, flat black engine bay which features a smoothed firewall and smoothed inner fenders. And everything from the car's Aeromotive fuel regulator and stainless fuel lines to its solid motor mounts and bright orange Big Daddy autograph is well-planned and professionally executed.

Put this Barracuda in the air and you'll find a highly detailed undercarriage which is characterized by a whole roster of 'no compromises' hardware and professional grade race equipment. Behind the Hemi, a five clutch A727 Torqueflite heavy duty transmission shifts quickly and efficiently while a 3,000 RPM stall converter provides wheel stand inducing bite during hard launches. Out back there's a fresh Strange Dana 60 Posi-traction rear end which is equipped with both a spool and pavement pounding 4.11 gears. And at the front of the car, modern rack and pinion steering provides the kind of quick reflexes needed to counter the big engines straight line fury. Holding that engine off the ground is fully rebuilt double A-arm suspension that's been upgraded with tubular control arms, fresh coil over shocks and a Magnum Force tubular K-member. And holding the car's rear end off the ground is a triangulated four link set up that's equipped with new QA-1 aluminum shocks. Stops are provided by a Baer four wheel disc system which squeezes giant calipers around an impressive set of drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust rolls from the aforementioned custom headers into vicious sounding custom stainless steel pipes that are complete with an X-pipe crossover and slick Magnaflow mufflers. Momentum comes courtesy of proven 15 inch Weld Pro Star aluminum wheels which wear 25x7.5 front and 29x15.5 rear Hoosier Pro Street radials. And with its custom fabricated back half, which utilizes 2"x 4" inch steel tubing, clean and straight satin black floors and fully sorted details, which include a full set of stainless lines and a chrome differential cover, this awesome Plymouth is ready for the drag strip OR the show floor!

Open this A-Body's solid closing doors and take in its custom Saddle interior which, as a combination of serious hardware and lavish aesthetics, serves as the perfect Jekyll to the car's 605 cubic inch Hyde. The first thing you'll notice is leather front bucket and rear bench seats that are so soft and supple they'd be more at home living life 100 miles at a time as opposed to a quarter mile at a time. Between those seats, a new Hurst Pro Matic 2 shifter ratchets toward an obligatory fire extinguisher. In front of those seats, a custom dash hangs classic white-faced Auto Meter gauges inside a slick and subtle faux carbon fiber insert. And at the sides of those seats, black door frames back custom Saddle door panels that are detailed with new chrome handles, fresh stainless trim and pleated leather map pockets. At the bottom of the car, new black carpet and "Mopar" branded floor mats provide an excellent contrast to the custom Saddle trim. At the top of the car, a tight leather headliner frames a fully functional dome light. In front of the driver, a three-spoke aluminum steering wheel spins a classy wood rim around a tilt column that's complete with a full set of billet stalks. And behind the cockpit, a solid black trunk props a new fuel cell between an Optima gel cell battery and just enough room to display a few choice trophies.

Since this cool, old-school A-Body is essentially paint shop fresh, it hasn't made the rounds during a full show season yet. But, at the shows it has attended, both judges and participants alike have seen fit to bestow it with some major honors.

This first rate Plymouth also comes with ample documentation which includes its original fender tag, a folder of receipts and photos that chronicle its entire five year build, a complete, hand written price list, a large show board and a signed picture of Big Daddy Don Garlits.

So the guy has a truckload of illegal beer he needs hauled across the country and asks Burt Reynolds what he needs to get the job done. Burt says: "A fast car."

The guy puts a pile of cash in Burt's hand.

"A REALLY fast car" Burt emphasizes. The guy sighs, and then gives him all his cash.

For the next two hours, Burt raced and abused a spectacular black-on-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am across the southeast United States, and to my 7-year-old heart, there was nothing more badass than that screaming 'bird.

Now Burt could have purchased a Corvette or a Mustang or even gasp! a Porsche 911 with that pile of money, but no, he had to have a wicked black Trans Am complete with a gold 'screamin' chicken' decal on the hood. At that moment, pop culture history was written, history which to this day still makes people my age smile a warm smile.

This 1977 Pontiac Trans Am is just like the one used in Smokey and The Bandit, and if you grew up in the 70s like I did, it still makes your heart flutter every time you see one. Not only is it like the one Burt Reynolds drove, but it is a real 4-speed car, has just 33,574 original miles, is fully documented including Pontiac Historic Services paperwork and full ownership history, and is loaded with more than $2800 in original factory options, including A/C. If there's a nicer one out there, I'd like to see it.

And nice this one is that inky black paint is orders of magnitude better than any 1970s factory job, which it should be since the car was treated to a show-quality repaint in 2008 by a shop that specializes in 1975-1981 Trans Ams. The gaps and panel alignment are excellent the decals, which are EVERYWHERE on this car, are in outstanding condition. The big one on the hood, obviously, is new, and the rest feature cool gothic-style lettering that spell out TRANS AM on the rear spoiler and front fenders, as well as T/A-6.6 on the hood scoop. The gold pinstripe is crisp and I can't find any substantial wear anywhere on the car. There can't be many Bandits out there nicer than this one, restored or otherwise. And in case you're wondering just how nice this car is, note that the engine compartment and trunk are completely untouched, not restored. This car is simply off the charts spectacular!

There isn't much bright work, but what remained after the factory blackout is in great shape. Check out the chrome exhaust turn-downs in that totally Trans Am twin pipe style. Glass is OEM all around, including the T-tops, and is in excellent condition as well. Lenses and plastic bits are undamaged and look as good in our showroom as they did on the big screen. The gold bezels around the headlights help break up all that black paint and are in great shape, too.

The motivating force behind this famous ride is the 6.6 liter V8 under the hood (that's a 400 to us old-school muscle car guys), and the numbers-matching lump in this Poncho is as close to factory fresh as a car can be after 33,000 miles. All the correct bits and pieces are there, from the hoses and clamps to the air cleaner's fresh air hose. Notice the factory A/C and GM Corporate Blue paint, total vintage 1977 equipment. It starts and runs perfectly, although it's awfully quiet. I'm pretty sure the sound effects in the movie weren't made by a stock Trans Am because it sure sounded NASTY. I'm guessing this one is just a muffler upgrade away from a full Bandit soundtrack if that's what you're into.

Behind the engine you'll find a genuine shift-it-yourself 4-speed manual. If you watch the movie, you'll know Burt had an automatic, but if you listen to it, you'll swear it was a 4-speed. Either way, the gear shift on this one is 100% manual. The rest of the chassis is par for a 33,000 mile original clean and well maintained, but not super-glossy like a restored piece. The exhaust looks good, the brakes work properly, and the machined honeycomb wheels with gold inserts sport 225/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials (how appropriate!).

Inside there's a tan interior in place of Burt's black upholstery, and I think I like it better. First of all, black gets seriously hot when cruising with the T-tops off and the sun is shining. And second, it's like a black hole in there. The tan guts on this car are bright and airy and contrast nicely with the black and gold exterior. Looking at the driver's seat, there's just no question that this is a low-mileage piece; there's not a fold or crease anywhere, the pedals show no wear, and the steering wheel looks like new. The engine-turned dash looks new, and the odometer reads correctly at 33,574 original miles. Dig the AM/FM stereo radio with stereo 8-track player (which was a pricey $134.00 option) located below the dash.

As I said, we have substantial documentation on this car as well. First there's a copy of the original window sticker, build sheet, production information, photographs, and press releases from PHS. Then there are copies of titles dating back to the original owner, the original Owner's Manual, original EPA window sticker, warranty booklets on the car and Uniroyal tires, receipts for maintenance, and a super-cool maintenance booklet that the original owner kept showing the date, location, and quantity of every fill up, oil change, and routine maintenance item. He even calculated miles per gallon during each tank, ranging from a dismal 9.44 MPG to a reasonable 18.44 MPG. Heck, he even noted where he traveled using that tank of fuel (Galveston run), and what types of fuel the car preferred (Car pings less on Shell unleaded.). Too cool! This car is also registered with the Bandit Trans Am Club, and has been since the year 2000.

Customers ask us: if there was one car you would buy right now and hang onto, what would it be? Here's our current reply: this 1977 Trans Am. This car has all the right stuff (paperwork, original drive train, original sheet metal, color, a 4-speed) that forms the basis for an investment grade car. Most importantly, it is arguably the most desirable single model of THE iconic car of the 70's generation.

Prices on Trans Ams are going up dramatically right now as the late 70's/early 80's generation joins the hobby. And let me give you some sage advice: they don't care about muscle cars. They are going to buy Trans Ams, lots of them. They are going to restore Trans Ams lots of them. If we had 100 bucks every time a casual hobbyist said "Y'all will never get x amount of dollars for that there Trans Am", we could retire. In short, if you are looking at your price guide right now, be prepared to join the long list of guys who enter the hobby and are always a day late and a dollar short because they can't see the forest for the trees. This 1969 Chevy El Camino is a professionally done mild custom treated to a frame-off restoration with ton of new parts. Not only does this Chevy look awesome but she drives the part as well.

In a truly thorough restoration, the body should be removed from the frame in order to gain access to all areas of the car. This El Camino was disassembled to a bare shell and the body of the Chevy was removed from the frame and was media blasted down to nice clean bare metal. A nice new bed was fitted as were real quarters and the body was reassembled and worked back to its current state. After lots of blocking and sanding, it was time for a nice two stage paint job which was followed by more finish work. All of the trim, chrome, glass, and rubber is brand new and cosmetically, the Chevy stands tall.

Before the body was dropped back on the frame, the frame was completely refinished and then fitted out with all new suspension and brake components. There are 3-way adjustable Competition Engineering shocks on all 4 corners, new springs, and tubular control arms. The steering column has been rebuilt and the steering gear box is a tight new 605 unit. A polished master cylinder pushes fluid to an upgraded front disc/rear drum set up that has good feel a stopping power.

The motor is a 468 CI with all new internals, electronic ignition, an 850 CFM carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, Keith Black pistons, Howards Cams cam shaft, March pulleys, Holley fuel pump and Hooker headers. Cooling the motor is a 4-core aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The motor is a runner and the rebuilt Turbo 400 with a reverse valve body and mild shift kit give it nice action. Holding the show together in the rear is a freshly built 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 Auburn gears. The Chevrolet is ready to lay down rubber at will, but makes for a great cruiser as well.

The dramatic setting and orientation of this two story beachfront residence situated in the exclusive estate of" Los Monteros" is unique.  The design solution was to bring the outdoors in by using as much glass as possible. 

This house attempts to embrace the tropical climate through provision of various outdoor retreat spaces. Uniting the salon is the conformable shaded  outdoor entertaining area with fireplace for  more informal chill out evenings. This space links all three ground floor living zones. The east wing has three bedroom suites each with their individual design and terrace space whilst the west wing has a functional kitchen and scullery with adjoining staff accommodation.

The first floor accommodates the children's bedroom and a decadent master suite both with access to terraces commanding elevated views over the gardens and to the Mediterranean which clings to the boundary walls. 

Few vehicles are more quintessentially American than the pickup. We use them as work horses, show pieces and everything in between. In the truck market, few names carry as much weight as the Ford F-Series. It's Ford's longest-running nameplate and certainly one of their most successful. The F-Series managed to claim the title of America's Bestselling Vehicle for 28 years consecutively. With this in mind, it's should come as no surprise that the market for classic trucks is exploding. If you've watched any of the big auctions this year, you've probably noticed mid-50s F100s bringing in serious money. We've seen it too. We sold this incredible "(external)1956 Ford F100": http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/top_sales_2012#!/1956-Ford-F100/132897 in March for a whopping $183k. It was It was an unbelievable truck with an amazing amount of time and money in it but, as many of you commented, it was almost too nice (if there is such a thing). If you loved the lines of that truck but are in the market for something a little more accessible, here's an awesome frame-off built 1955 Ford F100. With killer paint, a stout small block and a great custom interior, this truck checks all the right boxes while offering tremendous value.

Without question, the paintwork is what draws almost everyone to this truck. The two main colors at work are Laser Blue Metallic and black divided by a custom graphic rendered in silver and gray with a hand-painted orange pinstripe. From a distance, parts of the door graphic appear three dimensional – a testament to the level of detail on display. The stripe continues around the backside of the cab, front of the bed, inside of the bed and even into the door jambs. Replacing the typical wooden bed floor is an arrow straight sheet metal piece painted to match the outside. Out back, the door graphic is repeated on the tailgate. At the nose of the truck, a subtle purple overlay shows like a reflection and stops nearly everyone in their tracks. In day light, the paintwork pops in ways studio lighting rarely captures. As well as the paint shows, the number of hours invested in paint and body had to have been staggering.

This '55 seems to have been built with a respect for the original F100 shape. Though there are plenty of modifications to be found, the truck retains its classic profile. No chopping or sectioning. At the front, a chrome factory-style bumper has been brought in significantly closer to the body. Above it, a chrome grill adds some flash to the familiar front end. On the cab, the stock filler neck location has been filled in and concealed with a flush mount gas cap cover. The bed has been tubbed to accommodate modern wheel sizes. The bed sides have also been smoothed. At the rear, a custom set of billet tailgate hinges eliminate the clunky stock pieces while a custom roll pan with cut outs for the Lexus exhaust tips smoothes out the back. Custom tail lights are housed in the bed sides and complimented by an LED strip beneath the tailgate that is barely visible in daylight. In stock form, F100's shipped with very little external trim and this '55 remains true to that ideal. With the exception of headlight bezels and the stainless steel pieces on the bed floor, there is virtually no trim to be found.

Underneath the custom front-tilt hood, a reverse-cooled Chevrolet LT1 V8 sits between the frame the rails. Despite being a 1990s block, there's no tricky sequential port injection or finicky mass airflow sensor to be found here. Instead, a tried and true Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor sits on top of a GM Performance intake manifold. At the front of the engine, a polished pulley set turns the accessories and adds some extra flair to the bay. Further shine is provided by chrome Chevrolet valve covers and a cool retro-looking scoop. An electronic ignition gets the power plant started while a set of Edelbrock headers connected to a 3" true dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers help it breathe.

The LT1 is backed by a 700-R4 automatic transmission with overdrive for easy highway cruising while a Ford 9" rear with 3.73 gears and Moser 28-spline axles ensures this '56 has no trouble getting off the line. Front disc brakes and rear drums help this F100 stop as well as it takes off. The truck's ground-hugging stance is provided by a refreshingly traditional suspension. Up front, the original twin I-beam configuration has been replaced by a torsion bar setup while leaf springs and lowering blocks bring down the back end. In a scene seemingly dominated by air ride and complex link setups, this time-tested configuration is a nice change of pace. A set of chrome 5-spoke wheels measuring 18" x 8" up front and 20" x 10.5" in the rear sit nicely inside the large fender wells.

Inside, a tastefully customized interior provides enough comfort for even the longest of road trips. Eight-way adjustable bucket seats are wrapped in gray leather with simulated snake skin insets. An embroidered F100 logo furthers enhances the custom look. The snake skin theme continues onto the headliner and across the sun visors. While it may sound like a lot of snake skin, the pattern is subtle and comes across as little more than an attractive textural element. Between the seats, a matching leather console houses an Eclipse head unit that sends signal to four speakers. Controls for the Vintage Air system are hidden away in the glove compartment. The dash has a clean and classic looking while offering space to bring the custom Laser Blue Metallic paintwork into the cab. It features a polished bezel housing Dolphin gauges that look right at home amidst the 1950's shapes. An Ididit tilt steering column with a chrome shifter and Grant steering wheel round out the custom cab.

Someone has invested a ton of time and money into creating this head-turning F100. For the asking price, you'd be lucky to replicate the paint and body work alone, unless you were doing every bit of it yourself. But, in a market where investment grade metal and hobby cars are becoming increasingly polar, most enthusiasts don't care to drop six figures on something that's fit for red ropes and a climate controlled museum. Instead, the smart hobbyist who likes to actually drive and enjoy his classic, buys a well-done tribute like this freshly restored Tuxedo Black S/C. With a fully detailed big block under its hood, a correct Ivory interior, and exceptional attention to detail, it's the ultimate combination of heritage and fun. So, if you're one of the growing number of enthusiasts who's ready for a really well done Yenko tribute that's ready to rock, this '69 Camaro is exactly what you've been waiting for!

Beginning life as an authentic X44 striper which was covered in a tepid coat of GM code 65 Olympic Gold lacquer, this awesome F1 Camaro recently underwent a complete frame-off restoration that rebuilt or replaced every one of its parts. The car presently wears a slick coat of GM code 10 Tuxedo Black urethane that's accented by fresh white Yenko decals; and when you take one look down its sinister panels, you'll understand why virtually NO ONE misses its bland, original pigment. The restoration album that's included with the sale shows an extensive disassembly down to a bare body. From there, every panel was straightened, sanded, and then sanded some more until it was flat enough to calibrate scientific instruments. And finally, those panels were fully prepped and detailed for their spectacular finish. There's a ton of time wrapped up in putting it all back together properly, too, with excellent gaps all around and doors that open and close with no more than your fingertips. And the overall result is an exceptional muscle car which combines the best fundamentals of a classic style with an acute attention to detail.

As most of you already know, Yenko Camaros were not traditional Super Sport or Rally Sport cars. Instead, they were base model F1s that Don Yenko ordered in batches with various cosmetic trim and appearance upgrades. The exterior of this highly detailed tribute is most similar to the first batch of 50 COPO cars delivered to Yenko Chevrolet in mid-January 1969. At the front of the car, a stainless trimmed and gray painted grille hangs a blue bowtie emblem and modern halogen headlights above a showroom fresh chrome bumper, crystal clear parking lights and an optional D80 chin spoiler. At the top of that grille, a familiar "Camaro by Chevrolet" emblem fronts a functional ZL2 cowl induction hood which wears bright chrome "427" emblems. And a the sides of that grille, sculpted front fenders carry factory "Camaro" scripts above stylish red, white and blue "Yenko" emblems. At the top of the car, like-new glass is cleared by matte finished wipers, topped by fresh chrome drip rails and framed by dent-free stainless trim. And at the sides of the car, standard stainless rocker moldings and straight stainless wheel well trim perfectly complement traditional chrome door handles, a correct chrome driver's side mirror and Yenko optioned Rally Sport rear fender louvers. At the back of the car, an option D80 rear decklid spoiler aligns perfectly with fresh, professionally applied Yenko side stripes. And clear '69 Camaro exclusive tail lights illuminate a second showroom fresh chrome bumper which hangs below correctly placed "Yenko" and "427" emblems.

For many muscle car enthusiasts, nothing matches the mountainous torque of a stout big block V8; and there's no arguing that the lighter the car, the more entertaining the drive. Lift this well-done Yenko tribute's glossy black hood and you'll find a 454 cubic inch monster block which has been cleverly disguised to fool all but the most enlightened bowtie fans. At the top of the engine, air flows from a correct open element air cleaner which is adorned with a new 427 cross-flag decal, into a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a modern aluminum intake manifold. At the sides of that intake, spectacular chrome valve covers hang bright "Yenko S/C 427" decals above fully restored cast iron exhaust manifolds. And at the back of that intake, a rebuilt points distributor sends fire through fresh United Delphi Packard plug wires. Cooling is provided by a heavy duty radiator which sends water through reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. Compression comes courtesy of a 427 crankshaft which helps the big engine top out at 450 horsepower. And, during its highly detailed restoration, the car was equipped with power front disc brakes which are fed by a correctly detailed brake booster that's bolted to the left side of the firewall. Aesthetically, the satin black engine compartment is exceptionally clean, and thus far, hasn't even had the time to build up more than a thin layer of dust on its Chevy Orange block. All the car's correct paint daubs, chalk marks and decals are present and accounted for. And details like a correct smog pump, a reproduction Delco Energizer battery, a factory equipped windshield washer tank and a GM thermostat housing add the kind of finishing touches that'll make you want to pop the lid every time you park the car.

Not only does this cool Yenko tribute have a high power big block engine, it's also properly equipped with a Muncie M-20 4-speed manual transmission which spins a fresh 12 bolt Posi-traction rear end that packs stout 3.73 gears behind a trick, finned differential cover. That rear end hangs on restored leaf springs and brand new shocks which help give the car its crouching stance; and that transmission rides just behind a restored double A-arm front suspension which features authentic manual steering and upfitted power disc brakes. At the center of the car, a thrill inducing soundtrack roars through a fresh mandrel bent exhaust system which includes welded, dual chamber mufflers. And at the corners of the car, era correct 15 inch American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels wear a fresh set of 215/65 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. Even though the bottom of this Camaro has been professionally detailed to include a full set of factory accurate paint daubs, chalk marks and inspection stickers, its fully restored chassis is completely sorted and ready to hit the road. You know, we've had quite a few Yenko Camaro tributes come through our showroom, but few have been executed to this level of detail. Most guys just want the look and the 427, but whoever restored this car really went the extra mile!

Inside this awesome black F1 you'll find one of those rare instances where a car's interior perfectly mimics its exterior. As with its basecoat/clearcoat paint, the car's correct GM code 727 trim highlights a solid black base color with clean Ivory accents and bright finished details. On the floor, freshly installed black carpet anchors a full set of black lap belts, a full set of black rubber mats and a chrome Hurst shifter that's complete with a white cue ball knob. At the edges of that black carpet, Ivory seat covers appear to be brand new; and standard Ivory door panels hang clean armrests and pit-free chrome handles inside of pristine stainless trim and correct black "Camaro" emblems. At the top of the car, a tight black headliner stretches around a chrome trimmed dome lamp. And at the front of the car, a 1969 Camaro exclusive dash props a smooth and crack-free black pad above a rebuilt speedometer and a correct AM/FM radio. In so many of these restorations a Rosewood rimmed GM Rally wheel becomes standard equipment, so it's nice to see this car's rebuilt steering column proudly displaying its correct factory two spoke and bowtie branded horn button. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk hangs correct decals over a full-size spare tire and a fresh houndstooth mat.

No corners were cut, no shortcuts were taken, and this car stands at the pinnacle of the pro-touring movement today. This car even has its own website at www.convictioncuda.com. In short, if you want to get to the top of the mountain, this is the king you're going to need to de-throne. Good luck with that.

First off, all of the body modifications-and there are many-have been done in steel. No fiberglass, no flexible stuff pulled from a mold, not even OEM pieces that have been adapted, just hand-formed steel. The first things I noticed were the subtle beads on the rear valence that mimic the rocker panel blisters. Then I saw how the rear spoiler had been molded into the fender, and the custom made hood with OEM-looking nostrils. Heck, we have photos of them laying out wooden blocks on the rear deck to create bucks for the spoiler fabrication. Look closer and you'll see flush-mounted glass, shaved door handles and drip rails, and newly fabricated front and rear valence panels.

Of course, the basics are 100% 'Cuda, starting with an original car and built from a bare steel shell. The car was stripped bare and every panel that wasn't perfect was removed and replaced with an exact reproduction. New quarters were installed, but they weren't installed stock-the side marker lights were shaved and the upper areas were adjusted to fit the giant tires. Of course, you'd need a stock 'Cuda next to this one to see all the modifications, but the total of the work is a car that keeps everyone guessing and absolutely steals every show it enters.

Part of the show-stealing is certainly due to the paint job. Done in PPG Silver Star and Vibrants Purfect Purple with a lot of airbrush work, the car is visually arresting in person. You think you've seen show-quality paint? Guess again. If there's a flaw in this paint job, I can't find it. The finish is the result of hundreds of hours of bodywork, top-quality finishes, and another several hundred hours of wet sanding and buffing every square inch-hell, it even appears that the underside of the hood has been wet sanded and buffed. Then there's the unique strobe stripe, which is paint, not a decal, and is a combination of air brush techniques and pinstriping that gives it an almost three-dimensional look that seems to be vibrating off the metal.

Out back, you've undoubtedly noticed the custom-made rear panel that houses custom taillights that look an awful lot like standard 'Cuda items, but are actually hand-made LED lights that give it a modern look at night. Up front, Harley-Davidson twin-bulb modular headlights are brilliant in any sense of the word, and a custom grille insert has been created to mimic the original, but with turn-signal indicators molded into the grille itself. Brake cooling ducts have been integrated into the lower valence, while out back, diffuser ducts evacuate air from under the car and generate downforce at high speeds. Mirrors are from a Chrysler Crossfire, and, well, I'll let you spend some time with the car and discover the rest. There's just so much to see, we can't possibly include it all here.

There was never any doubt when this project started that this car would be Hemi-powered. But that's not a 50-year-old chunk of cast iron in the engine bay. No, a car of this caliber needs cutting-edge technology to go with the horsepower, so a modern 6.1-liter Hemi was selected instead. It's an Arrington-built piece that cranks out more than 525 horsepower (that's 100 horsepower more than the legendary 426 Hemis of yore), and does it in a smaller, lighter, and more user-friendly package. Forget tuning carburetors and fouled spark plugs, the only thing this car needs from you is someone to turn the key and press the red START button on the center console. Continuing the strobe stripe theme under the hood, you'll find some custom covers for the radiator and coils that mimic the three-dimensional detailing on the body. The intake has been polished for a little bit of eye candy under the hood, while the wiring and plumbing has been carefully hidden for a super-sanitary look. Power steering and power brakes are definitely part of the equation, as is a high-output alternator to keep the car's electronics happy.

Just as a carburetor would be out of place on the engine, a 4-speed just wouldn't do underneath. Instead, there's a Keisler 5-speed with overdrive that makes the most of the engine's prodigious horsepower. Out back, a Chrysler 8.75-inch rear holds 3.91 gears on a limited slip. This will accelerate hard enough to break fingers, and can still climb to speeds once reserved for aircraft on the big end. The suspension features massive sway bars and cockpit-adjustable air shocks from Air Ride for a 21st century ride inside that vintage 1970 shape. Brakes are from Baer, and feature massive vented and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Those openings in the front fascia aren't just for show, either-they actually feed the front brakes a steady supply of cool air. Long tube headers dump into a stainless steel X-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers before terminating in custom tips molded into the rear valence. The floors are undercoated because the original intent was to build a car to drive before things got, well, a little out-of-hand. The perfect hot-rod profile and stance is achieved by a set of polished 18- and 20-inch Bonspeed Quasar wheels on 245/40/18 front and 295/35/20 rear Nitto Invo tires.

On a build of this magnitude, you know there's a ton of documentation. We have extensive build photos, drawings, sketches, and other development details that are seldom seen in the finished product-concept cars often go directly from the designer's imagination to the show floor. You can see how this car evolved and the designer's intent throughout the process, and it's fascinating to compare it to the finished product. There's no question this is a very special car and that its existence has moved the bar for top-line pro-touring customs. Stunning to look at, thrilling to drive, and exceptional to show, Conviction 'Cuda is the current state-of-the-art in pro-touring. This is a car that will remain timeless thanks to smart design and immaculate craftsmanship, and in 20 years, it will still draw crowds like it does today-great cars are like that. It's expensive, yes, but I'll wager it cost even more to build and that there are no more than a handful of craftsmen in the country who could duplicate it. Bobby Alloway may have designed the SpeedStar's body but it takes a team of craftsmen to turn that body into completed rolling art. Built by ProRides, this hot rod has won plenty of awards including 'Best Radical Roadster' at the Detroit Autorama and the Hershey 'Fab 5' award. It has also been featured in 'Street Rod Builder' magazine and has enough trophies behind it to require a trailer to haul them all. Highly detailed and beautifully finished, this car is the very definition of hot rodding in the 21st century.

The body is a Rat's Glass piece, anchored to a matching frame from the same vendor. With the myriad of suppliers, designs, and fabricators out there, a lot of rods end up as cobbled together collections of mismatched parts that never live up to their potential. That's definitely not the case here. Everything was fully engineered and built to work as a unit and the result is a car that drives as great as it looks.

Though Alloway bodies are good right out of the box, the crew at Volker Auto Body went the extra mile in completing the prep and paintwork on this street rod. Between the Harley-Davidson Gray and Corvette Victory Red, you'll find a simulated TIG weld that was designed and applied by Thad Cunningham from ICON Graphics. Yes, it really does look like a very skilled welder joined the top and bottom halves of this body with the most beautiful welds ever seen. Even the trained eye requires a second look to figure out what is really going on. It's detail work like this that allows certain cars to place over others at shows and this one is a proven contender.

The big headlight look is timeless and this car wears it well, borrowing a pair of headlights from a '34 Ford truck. With so many cars sporting King Bees, the Ford lights are a refreshing look. The grille is a custom billet piece inside the Alloway-designed shell that's been raked, pinched, and chopped. Out back, Headwinds Concours rocket taillights are the finishing touch. It's a good thing they're pretty, because they're going to be the only thing a lot of guys see if they try to chase down this little red roadster.

Power comes from an aluminum LS1. No old tech 350 with a carburetor, this is a fuel injected powerhouse that features a polished aluminum intake (not plastic) and custom fabricated sheet metal valve covers. Ignition is handled by a set of eight separate MSD coil packs, and if you look closely, you'll note that the air cleaner is a trick unit that also houses the mass-air meter. There are braided hoses everywhere, but they're black with black fittings for a subtle look that stands out at shows. Rounding out the eye candy is a set of aluminum fuel rails that feed the injectors a steady diet of high octane - pieces that the LS1 never carried from the factory. Nice! Of course, there's a pair of long tube headers handling the exhaust duties, and the block has been bathed in more of that Corvette Victory Red paint. In all, a simple, clean, well-designed engine bay that lets the hardware do all the talking.

The chassis is equally well crafted using more well-regarded components. The transmission is a 4L60E automatic that is cooled by a B&M transmission cooler for aggressive driving. Up front, the suspension is from Heidt's with a custom crossmember and adjustable coil-over shocks. In back, it's a fully independent Winters axle with trick inboard disc brakes that keep this little roadster planted in the twisties. Brakes are from Wilwood, with big ventilated discs all around. The exhaust was custom fabricated and features Flowmaster mufflers for that sound that everyone will instantly recognize. Everything that can be polished has been, and if it isn't polished, it has been painted to match the body. Lines and hoses are custom pieces that fit beautifully and must have taken hours to fabricate. Wheels are Bonspeed Custom units measuring 18x8 up front and a gigantic 22x10.5 out back, all rolling on a set of BFGoodrich KD radials.

Inside, a bright red leather interior is sure to stop show-goers in their tracks. There's not a single piece that wasn't hand-fabricated and stitched together, from the door panels to the trick center console with integrated (and weatherproof) stereo controls. Every square inch was wrapped in gorgeous red leather and detailed just as thoroughly as the graphics on the outside of the car. Gauges are Bonspeed pieces called Viva Las Gauges. Their big, bold graphics match the overall theme of the car perfectly. The center console was custom molded to hold not only the Lokar shifter for the 4L60E, but also a cool round pod for the hidden entertainment system's control interface. The tilt steering column wears a tachometer as it should, and the Billet Specialties steering wheel has been wrapped in matching red leather. The trunk has had an equal amount of time, money, and attention thrown at it, and presents beautifully with a vintage-looking V8 logo embossed in the back panel, which hides things like the entertainment system and battery. This car is far from done winning awards.

Pro built rods aren't cheap. To win awards at the highest levels, not only does the design need to be jaw-dropping, the execution has to border on art. Every single component has to be finished to perfection and assembled with more care than a surgeon performing a double bypass. This is such a car. Guys who pay for someone to build rods like this understand that they'll never get their investment back, it takes cubic dollars to build a car like this. The upside is that it makes award-winning show pieces affordable for average enthusiasts who want a mind-blowing car but can't afford the build. This is an awful lot of car that cost twice the asking price to build. It is a proven show winner and a spectacular driver on the road. Hitting the desert roads as a run of the mill fastback and then spending 25 years of its life in carefully guarded dry storage, this solid '65 Mustang would prove the perfect starting point for a top notch Shelby GT350-H conversion. Its rotisserie restoration began with hours spent massaging its solid panels into a completely wave-free and arrow straight canvas. Once that intense labor and high quality detail work resulted in excellent fit and finish, a smooth and glossy coat of black R-M urethane was adorned with Metallic gold stripes, sealed in a durable Diamont clearcoat shell, and accented with correctly stenciled "G.T. 350 H" side stripes. Take one glance at this '65 Shelby's super slick body and you'll see what high quality craftsmanship performed by a dedicated group of individuals truly looks like. And today, it's one sinister fastback tribute car which mixes the classic design of a first generation Mustang with the dedication of an expert restoration and the kind of all-business attitude that's only found behind the fangs of a Cobra.

It's obvious Ford has always sweated the details on the Mustang; and with its attractive brightwork, this sweet fastback presents a finished, high quality appearance which goes far beyond its nice paint and fresh decals. At the leading edge of the car a stainless, Shelby style grille hangs pristine horizontal bars between two perfectly functioning stainless trimmed headlights, a great looking chrome bumper and a Shelby 'R' front valence that's complete with chrome trimmed parking lights. At the top of that grille, a traditional metal hood, which is secured by well-aligned metal pins, carries a familiar Shelby hood scoop. And at the top of the car, like-new windows are bordered by straight stainless trim, tweaked satin finished wipers and chrome drip rails which look like they're fresh off the showroom floor. The profile of the car presents a slick, purpose-built appearance with pristine chrome door handles, a chrome English racing mirror, standard rear air scoops and chrome "289" fender emblems being the only baubles that disrupt the otherwise smooth black paint. And at the back of the car, the metallic gold stripes center a chrome GT350 fuel filler cap between two clear, segmented brake lights, a passenger's side mounted "GT350" emblem and a second great looking chrome bumper.

With the body finished and the rest of the project well underway, it was time to find a suitable powerplant; and given this Mustang's predisposition to both class and muscle, a bolt in strip motor wouldn't quite do the trick. Pull the pins on the solid steel hood and you'll find a 302 cubic inch Ford V8 which has been rebuilt, beefed up and bathed in a slick coat of jet black paint. At the top of that hot smallblock, air flows from a fully functional hood scoop into a chrome, freshly decaled air cleaner which rides on a giant 4-barrel carburetor. That carburetor, which sucks fuel through stainless lines that are complete with an inline canister filter, sends a perfect air/fuel mixture into a Weiand aluminum intake which is bolted between original equipment heads that are complete with stainless valves, roller tip rockers and fresh chrome valve covers. Once that air/fuel mixture makes its way to the cylinders, a reliable points distributor sends fire through black Hi-Temp Super Stock Spiral Core plug wires. A 523 lift, 315 duration cam combines with high quality forged pistons to create pavement melting combustion. And a solid set of free breathing long tube headers turn fire into a mechanical symphony of power and speed. Aesthetically, this awesome mill sits in a completely restored engine bay which has been covered in a smooth coat of traditional satin black paint. And nice pieces like a chrome brace bar, a reproduction Autolite StaFul battery, a correct FoMoCo washer fluid bag, reproduction Ford hoses and tower clamps and a fresh Autolite voltage regulator provide the visual punch to match the cars highly detailed exterior panels.

What would an excellent restoration be without a great foundation? Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find solid, over-restored floors that are highlighted by a clean chassis and some serious performance hardware. Behind the stout 302, a familiar 4-speed manual transmission spins a high performance Eaton Posi-traction rear end that's equipped with tall 3.73 gears. At the ends of the car, a restored double A-arm front and rear leaf spring suspension maximizes both launch and handling characteristics; and at the corners of the car, manual drum brakes provide firm, fade-free stops. Step on the throttle and a fresh stainless fuel tank supplies gas to fresh stainless fuel lines while the ceramic coated headers hurl exhaust into mandrel bent, true dual pipes which breathe through an H-Pipe crossover and aggressive dual chamber mufflers. Power is put to the pavement by great looking 14 inch chrome Magnum 500s that are wrapped in brand new 215/70 and 245/60 redline tires. And everything under this car from its stainless hardware to its slick black oil pan is fully sorted and ready to go!

Open the door to this well-done Mustang and you'll find a fully restored cockpit that mixes clean white vinyl with a standard black base color to provide an exceptionally attractive driving environment. The factory bucket seats wear new pleated covers between two piece lap belts and new chrome hardware; and the new dual cowl dash pad looks like it came straight out of the box yesterday morning. Inside that dash, a traditional black instrument panel holds a full assortment of fully rebuilt gauges between new chrome knobs for the car's accessories and a correct AM radio. And below that dash, a new Hurst shifter, which is complete with a traditional white cue ball knob, gaits through a chrome trimmed rubber boot. At the sides of the car, layered door panels are decorated with pristine stainless trim, new chrome handles for the doors and windows and pristine chrome armrests. And at the bottom of the car, new black carpet is protected by heavy duty, Mustang branded floor mats. At the top of the car, a fresh white headliner stretches from the front of the car to its fully restored and correctly finished hatch. And in front of the driver, an impressive chrome spoked and wood trimmed steering wheels spins in front of a slick column mounted tachometer and continuous motion electric clock.

There's simply nothing like keying up a legendary muscle car. The sound, the feeling of the idle, and the relentless surge of torque as you power through the gears. It's very rare to find a fully sorted, well-executed restoration which carries an asking price of roughly half what the car cost to build, but this Mustang is exactly that. There's no question that the '69 Camaro is one of the best looking muscle cars of all time. As most of you already know, Yenko Camaros were not traditional Super Sport or Rally Sport cars. Instead, they were base model F1s that Don Yenko ordered in batches with various cosmetic trim and appearance upgrades. The exterior of this highly detailed tribute is most similar to the first batch of 50 COPO cars delivered to Yenko Chevrolet in mid-January 1969. At the front of the car, a stainless trimmed and gray painted grille hangs modern halogen headlights above a showroom fresh chrome bumper, crystal clear parking lights and an optional D80 chin spoiler. At the top of that grille, a familiar "Camaro by Chevrolet" emblem fronts a functional ZL2 cowl induction hood which wears bright chrome "427" emblems. And a the sides of that grille, sculpted front fenders carry factory "Camaro" scripts above red, white and blue "Yenko" emblems. At the top of the car, like-new glass is cleared by matte finished wipers, topped by new chrome drip rails and framed by fresh, dent-free stainless trim. And at the sides of the car, standard stainless rocker moldings and straight stainless wheel well trim perfectly complement traditional chrome door handles, a correct chrome driver's side mirror and Yenko optioned Rally Sport rear fender louvers. At the back of the car, an option D80 rear decklid spoiler aligns perfectly with a Yenko optioned satin black rear valence. And clear '69 Camaro exclusive tail lights illuminate a second showroom fresh chrome bumper which hangs between spotless stainless exhaust tips and correctly placed "Yenko" and "427" emblems.

While the exterior of the famed Yenko Camaros is a story all its own, what really made these cars special is what lived between their fenders. Lift this car's bright orange hood and you'll find a date correct iron block 427 which has been restored to a highly accurate, showroom fresh appearance. At the top of that block air flows from a correct open element air cleaner, which is adorned with a new 427 cross-flag decal, into a coated Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a modern aluminum Chevrolet intake manifold. At the sides of that intake, spectacular finned aluminum valve covers hang multi-colored Yenko emblems above fully restored cast iron exhaust manifolds. And at the back of those valve covers, a rebuilt points distributor sends fire through correct Packard TV R Suppression wires. Cooling is provided by a Yenko-spec Harrison heavy duty radiator which sends water through reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. And, since this Camaro came with factory equipped power steering and power disc brakes, an appropriately tagged Delco Moraine brake booster hangs on the firewall and a correct power steering pump is bolted to the left side of the engine block. Aesthetically, the satin black engine compartment is exceptionally clean, and thus far, hasn't even had enough time to build up a thin layer of dust on the Chevy Orange block. All the car's correct paint daubs, chalk marks and decals are present and accounted for. And details like a tagged Delco Energizer battery, a factory equipped windshield washer tank and a Chevy Orange thermostat housing add the kind of finishing touches that'll make you want to pop the lid every time you park the car.

Although you could get a Yenko with a slushbox, the vast majority were equipped with tough M21 Muncie 4-speeds. And this particular Camaro, which has been upgraded with a virtually indestructible Borg Warner ST-10, spins a correct 12 bolt Posi-traction rear end and tire shredding 3.90 gears via a correctly detailed driveshaft. That rear end hangs on restored leaf springs and brand new shocks which help give the car its crouching stance; and that transmission rides just behind a restored double A-arm front suspension which features fresh shocks, correct factory optioned power steering and correct factory optioned power disc brakes. At the center of the car, a thrill inducing soundtrack roars through a fresh Gardner exhaust system which accurately duplicates the car's original chambered pipes. And at the corners of the car, era correct 15 inch American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels wear a fresh set of E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GTs. Even though the bottom of this Camaro has been professionally detailed to include a full set of factory accurate paint daubs, chalk marks and inspection stickers, its fully restored chassis is completely sorted and ready to hit the road. What's not to love about a classic that you can show AND enjoy?

Inside this pristine Yenko tribute, it's 100% Camaro; and that's always a good thing! Original GM code 713 Black Houndstooth upholstery features an OEM feel that simply can't be duplicated by today's best restoration products. An optional Z87 deluxe interior package, which includes unique stainless trimmed door panels, wood grain dash applique and bright pedal trim, amps up the visual appeal. And bold "YSC" headrest decals provide just the right amount of detail to elevate an already impressive cockpit to a whole new level. In front of the driver, a good looking black dash hangs beautifully restored gauges, an electric clock and controls for the cars heater above bright wood grain trim and a correct Delco AM radio. Below that dash, an optional center console props a completely chrome Hurst short throw shifter above great looking wood faced and chrome trimmed accent plates. At the sides of the seats, black deluxe door panels are decorated with excellent looking stainless trim and correct white inlayed "Camaro" emblems. And above the seats a tight black headliner, which retains all of its color, centers a chrome trimmed dome light between fade-free shoulder belts. Connecting the driver to the road is a fully restored factory steering wheel which spins a blue bowtie and great looking wood applique around a factory tilt steering column. And behind the cockpit, an accurately restored trunk holds a correct jack and full-size spare tire between fresh decklid decals and a new houndstooth mat.

If a Super Sport is just too ordinary and you really dig the magical appeal of that storied 4, 2, and 7 number combination, this high quality Yenko is just what you need! Building one to the show-worthy level of this car will cost a lot more than our asking price; and even if you started today, it would be at least a year before it started to resemble a finished car.
