The beautiful embellishment featured on this Kindler & Thorpe Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust is inspired by the gracious Peregrine hunting Falcon.

The Peregrine Falcon (Falco Peregrinus) has the distinction of being the fastest bird on earth. When diving it can reach a speed of over 270mph.

In recent years the Falcons have re-appeared at Derby Cathedral which dates back over 470 years. Peregrine's have roosted and hunted from the Cathedral's towers for more than 300 years.

Fine English scroll work adorns both the sides and lugs of the stainless steel case. The reverse displays the stunning Peregrine Falcon's head engraved using the Bulino technique. This is surrounded by a 'running leaf' border.

"Bulino" is an Italian term meaning the use of thousands of tiny hand cuts to form an image. The 18ct gold bezel is left smooth offering a wonderful contrast to this particular piece.

This brand new Rolex Datejust spent more than 25 hours under the tools of Marcus Hunt, our master English engraver. It is the only one like it anywhere in the World and will remain completely unique to its owner.
