"ENCORE V" is a strongly built Burger with four watertight bulkheads, double bottoms and a full keel. She is suitable for both cruising shallow draft areas like the Bahamas or transatlantic crossings. The "86" is one of Burger's most popular designs due to her flared bow, graceful sheerline and tumblehome transom. This design is also known for fuel economy with numerous range and speed options and is the model that one owner of the company built as his personal yacht.
ExclusionsOwner's and Captain's personal items to be identified at time of survey. Art work, some galley equipment, Captain's tools, Kayaks and Surfboard.
Remarks"ENCORE V" was built by a Burger owner of many years who passed away and is now offered for sale by the second owner. She was a well equipped yacht when new and has been maintained (mostly by Bradford Marine) to the highest standards with many replacements and upgrades over the years in order to maintain her in top condition. Shafts were pulled in 2002 and shaft tubes were replaced 2002 (critical Burger maintenence item). The boat was hauled andbottom was painted in 2010.
Paint, deck and interior are in excellent condition. Engines were rebuilt in 2003at 5,000 hours with four new cylinder heads. Approximately 300 hours since overhaul.
In 2003 "ENCORE V" underwent an extensive refit that included all new decor and many "system" improvements including: anchoring system, complete rebuild of tender with new outboard, new corner windows in pilothouse and aft deck, new port lights in cabins, new window, hatch and portlight tracks and gaskets, new bimini top and canvas.
In 2008 after several months in the Turks & Caicos, both A/C chillers were replaced and major maintenence was done on the stabilizers, bow thruster, and the pilothouse sliding doors were rebuilt. All new batteries and battery boxes were installed in 2009.
