Electrical
The electrical system is based on three different voltages:
1. 380V 50 Hz, three phrase AC, supplied by the generators on board or by earth tension supplied by suitable socket. The two units feed different uses with the possibility of reciprocal reverses in case of failure in one of them.
2. 24V DC set out on three different battery units
a) 700 Amp hour utility batteries
b) 320 Amp hour engine batteries
c) 150 Amp hour radio batteries
Both engine and utility batteries are parrallel connected for engine in case of emergency.
3. 12V DC to feed stereo system and radio receivers
Battery charging for the 24V system is by means of a charger via the 380V system and whilst underway via alternators on the main engines.
