MARI-CHA IIIs interior has been carefully selected with the finest of luxurious accoutrementsincluding marble surfaces, beautiful fabrics, objet dart, etc. All panelling (over lightweight Nomex core) and frames are executed in thin veneers of Hondruas Mahogany. The interior of the boat and her state-of -the-art entertainment system have been updated to reflect the latest in modern technology.

SpeedsMARI-CHA III has moderate draught for a yacht of her size, giving her the ability to explore most of the worlds magnificent anchorages. Under sail,MARI-CHA IIIreaches 12.5 knots upwind at an apparent wind angle of 20 degrees with only 12 knots of true wind speed. On the reach, she sails comfortably at 17 knots with only 14 knots of true wind.MARI-CHA III is a Super Maxi whose hydraulic sailing systems can be converted to manual operation to comply with the World Speed Sailing Record Council rules and regulations. The majority of theinterior can be dismantled to reduce weight for racing and give room for a racing crew of 25.In racing mode, MARI-CHA III became the new Atlantic record breaked on October 24, 1998 when she crossed the finish line at Lizard Point in southern England at 12:08:17. She sailed from New York to Lizard in 8 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 41 seconds; averaging 14 knots.
